Part Two: Saber, The American Graffiti Artist

Last week I shared some work by Banksy, and this time let’s take a look at another living legend of the graffiti world, Saber. The masterpiece that really put Saber on the radar was the Los Angeles River work completed in 1997, which was nearly the size of a professional football field and was the largest graffiti piece ever created. Saber’s signature style is his free-flowing and surreal structures, and the aggressive yet elegant abstract graffiti letterforms. His street work has conjured up so much appreciation and interest that they have begun to be showcased in art museums and galleries. The title of this post is taken from his solo exhibition at Opera Gallery in SoHo, New York.
