I just found out a couple of days ago that the artworks that adorned one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in town were created by this unique Japanese “dancing life painter” named Saori Kanda, a.k.a Saori’An. She paints and dances with music at the same time. She uses her hands to draw, she draws with her whole body, and she becomes a part of her artwork. You can read more about her work and concept right here on her official homepage. To get the full effect of her creative style, you should really watch a video of her “life painting” performance. The way that she is completely consumed in her artistic world during each performance make her work extra beautiful and breathtaking.
